TOPICS: AI AND THE FUTURE WORKFORCE THE FACTS!
Passionate about future workforces and making them more successful; helping organisations and individuals make better decisions about who, how, where, how much, how long, when and why they work together – and how they know it’s working well.
Organisations and workforces continue to change at pace, so it’s increasingly more difficult to build businesses through people, getting the right people engaged in the best way in the right times and places. This isn’t a problem that is ‘solved’, but achieving measurably better outcomes and results for organisation and people that work with them is what Adam loves to do.
Adam’s career to date spans many countries, industries, roles and responsibilities centred predominantly around Recruitment or Talent Acquisition & Management/Development. A rare mix of experience in consulting, managed service providers, vendors, multi-national ‘end-users’ and cutting edge HR Technology start-ups provides a deep, rounded understanding of his industry.
Adam takes pride in many of the significant successes he’s enjoyed and the incredible people he’s had the pleasure of working with. Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills help Adam maintain a sharp focus on defining, achieving and measuring tangible outcomes: A simple ‘farmer’ by nature and upbringing, he takes pleasure in being able to see and enjoy meaningful positive impacts.
A Science Degree influences Adam’s approach to his domain and work, with a firm belief that HR is in dire need of more science, commercial focus and factual information to better understand organisational performances and the correlations to the people that work with them. Humans are a strange breed.
A dynamic history with frequent unexpected challenges has afforded Adam successful achievements in multi-million dollar RPO projects in the UAE, building global Talent Acquisition functions for Australian based multi-nationals (circa 15,000 hires / yr. across 32 countries) and designing and selling multi-million dollar contingent workforce solutions for public and private sector clients for leading Managed Service Providers. A common thread in his career has been the love of continuous learning and personal & professional development.
A proud father and family man, Adam is also a keen (read frustrated ex-) sportsman, and enjoyed achieving his Black belt in Karate and climbing Africa’s Mt Kilimanjaro, although it’s fair to say the older Adam gets the ‘better he was’ at Rugby, Karate, Motorcycling, AFL, Tennis etc. – there is a fine line between reminiscing and dreaming.
