Recruitment Yarns is an Australian and New Zealand roadshow series hosted by some of the industry’s most well-known identities and industry partners. In its fourth year, this well established and popular event offers recruitment and staffing industry professionals an opportunity to explore fresh ideas and concepts for their business in conversation with hand-picked industry specialists with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

This year, the Sydney/Auckland event will be split into a morning and an afternoon session.

The morning session is geared towards recruitment professionals looking at further development in both their career and personally. The hosts’ topic of discussion at their morning roundtables, will be focused on equipping you with the knowledge and/or tools that will enable you THRIVE at work. The Yarns morning session is all about learning, further career development, thriving, and empowerment!

The casual nature of the roundtables welcomes an engaging conversation aimed at collaboration and personal growth.

    Simon Townsend is a Design Thinking professional who specialises in Human Capital. From C-Suite strategy definition to “in the trenches” delivery, Simon draws on almost a decade of innovation management experience to help organisations create change that people accept.

    Simon has helped HR and Procurement teams, from many renowned multinational corporations, develop their innovation strategies and craft the user experiences required to make them effective.

    Simon is a well-respected technologist who is a member of the Sydney Digital Disruption Research Group and spent 2 years assessing startups for inclusion in the TalentTech Labs incubator based out of New York. TalentTech Labs is the only HR focused incubator in the world.

    In his time as Innovation Manager for Deloitte and Chief Innovation Officer APAC for Allegis Global Solutions Simon honed his Design Thinking skills and he has trained one on one with Professors from Insead, Stanford and UC Berkeley.
